Bitumen Penetration Grade 70/100 is a standard penetration grade Bitumen usually used as a Paving Grade Bitumen suitable for road construction and for the production of asphalt pavements with superior properties.
This grade of Bitumen is mainly used in the manufacture of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses.
Application of Bitumen Penetration Grade 70/100
The bitumen penetration grade 70/100 is a semi-hard penetration grade, with penetration between 70 and 100. Which is mostly used in road construction, asphalt pavement, and manufacturer of hot-mix asphalt.
BITUMEN 70⁄100 satisfies the requirements of fatigue resistance and provides very high performance in terms of plasticity and behavior at low temperatures.
The optimum viscosity in the range of temperatures for mixing and laying guarantees easy workability of the products, even for high-stress conditions.
PAVING GRADE BITUMEN 70⁄100 is used to produce bituminous mixes constituting flexible structure for the paving of roadways, runways, pavement, track race, and landing platform.
The penetration bituminous asphalt with high penetration numbers which are soft, mostly used in cold weather conditions and hard bituminous asphalt (low penetration number) can be used for warm weather conditions.
Bitumen 70/100 Specification
Kiapetro guarantees that the Bitumen Grade 70/100 is produced in compliance and conformity to International of European Standard DIN EN 12591:99, also meets the requirements of the following specification.
