Bitumen Penetration Grade 40/60 is a standard penetration grade Bitumen usually used as a Paving Grade Bitumen suitable for road construction and for the production of asphalt pavements with superior properties.
Bitumen Grade 40/60 is a standard penetration grade base on European Standard DIN EN 12591:99. 40/60 Bitumen is usually used as a paving Bitumen suitable for road construction and other industrial purposes.
Application of Bitumen Penetration Grade 40/60
The bitumen penetration grade 40/60 is a semi-hard penetration grade, with penetration between 40 and 60. Which is mostly used in road construction, asphalt pavement, and manufacturer of hot-mix asphalt.
The penetration bituminous asphalt with high penetration numbers which are soft, mostly used in cold weather conditions and hard bituminous asphalt (low penetration number) can be used for warm weather conditions.
